At private schools, a tuition fee applies. Children, whose parents are not within Canadian borders or reside in Canada on a tourist visa, can attend middle school for a fee.
The system of education of Canada consists of the following stages:
- School preparation (5+)
- Junior school (Grades 1-4)
- Middle school (Grades 5-8)
- High school (Grades 9-12)
International students can join middle school at any stage.
Children under 18 whose parents are not in Canada are provided a guardianship.
To enter a middle school in Canada, children do not have to take any international English exams.
